Harrogate Cricket Club's 3rd XI (Harrogate Strays) have conformed their status in Division Two of the Nidderdale League for another season after sensationally beating champions Pateley Bridge on the final day of the season.

'Gate needed to at least match Spofforth's result, and were happy to be chasing 138 after an excellent bowling display.

However, after slipping to 20 for 5, the much-needed victory looked out of sight.

Cometh the hour, cometh the heroes. Mark Roberts hit an unbeaten half-century and Charlie Holtham also batted superbly to lead the side home to guarantee another season in Division Two.
