Harrogate CC Covid-19 update

Update from March 17th 2020

Due to the latest Government guidance on coronavirus (Covid-19) the Club has had to take a number of steps to keep in line with that guidance and to ensure we are doing our bit to ensure the general safety of all.

The Club AGM on Monday 23rd March 2020 has been postponed. It will be held at a date to be fixed in the future. Further information on the new date will be provided as soon as possible.

The Annual Club Dinner taking place on Thursday 26th March has been postponed. We are hopeful of running this at the end of the season.

All remaining senior net sessions on Monday evenings at Rossett School will be cancelled. This decision was taken for us by Rossett School who have announced no more events will be held until the end of March. Nets were due to run until Monday the 30th March 2020. The sessions on the 23rd March and the 30th March are, therefore, cancelled.

All remaining indoor junior coaching sessions until the end of March are now cancelled. This applies to under 9s, under 11s and under 13s who net on Friday evenings. It also applies to under 15s and under 17s who net on Thursday evenings.

The grounds and maintenance work planned for the next two Saturdays (21st March and 28th March ) is postponed in that we do not want large numbers of volunteers to attend at the Club. The Club has been very generously loaned some specialist equipment for these sessions and in order to make use of that a small number of us will be working at the club in isolation of each other on different projects on different parts of the ground. A further note will be circulated about the Balcony Bar later this week.

In relation to the forthcoming season, the England and Wales Cricket Board, the Yorkshire Cricket Board and the local leagues are yet to make any definitive decisions about fixtures and the season. As we know more we will keep everyone updated.The management board are due to hold an emergency meeting to discuss the immediate future of the club in the coming days.
