Hector Hamill signs for Harrogate Cricket Club

Harrogate Cricket Club are delighted to announce that Hector Hamill has joined the club for the 2024 season.

Hector is an elegant and stylish top order batter and has represented Yorkshire at various different junior age groups. He is extremely dedicated to his cricket and has a great work ethic. We are delighted that he has joined the club. He will be a member of our first and second team squad for the 2024 season.

Will Bates, first team captain, said that: “Hector is a brilliant prospect. It is already clear from seeing him this winter that he has the foundations and ambition to go very far in the game. We hope that we can help Hector continue to develop and we also look forward to seeing him score a lot of runs at St George’s Road this season.”

Hector has arrived at Harrogate CC following a successful spell at Beckwithshaw

CC. We would like to extend our thanks to all at Beckwithshaw CC who have

assisted Hector in his cricketing development so far, and for the way in which they

have assisted with the transfer process.

First memory of cricket? Clean bowling my Dad in the garden aged six!

Aims in cricket? My aim is to become a professional cricketer, I am hoping to do

this by shining for Harrogate and Yorkshire by scoring lots of runs.

Best moment in cricket so far? Winning the under 14 county cup with Yorkshire

under 14s.
